Abstract: Ischemic heart disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in diabetes. Patients with diabetes are particularly at risk of perioperative myocardial infarction, and are less resistant to myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI), but the underlying mechanisms are very unclear.
