Optical and functional properties of hydrothermally synthesized tetragonal Ba0.4Cu0.6−xLaxTiO3 (x = 0.2–0.6) nanoparticles

Abstract: Ba 0.4 Cu 0.6−x La x TiO 3 (x=0.2, 0.4 & 0.6) (BCLT) nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method. The x-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern established the existence of tetragonal phases. The nanospheres were observed in the surface morphology of present materials using the transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The optical properties were investigated to confirm the presence of metal oxide bonds as well as the optical band-gap energy of BCLT nanoparticles. The dielectric and impedance parameters were stud… Show more

“…Herein, the PLCT, PCLT, BCLF, and ALTBT nanostructures show the complete nanofiber/nanorods at high percentage of La +3 cations, whereas the BCF samples perform the same nature at high percentage of Ba +2 cations of high ionic radii. The similar observations are noticed by Prakash et al [14], in case of BaCuLaTiO 3 nanorods prepared using the hydrothermal method.…”

“…The lattice constants were found to be a = b = c using the equation a = d hkl (h 2 + k 2 + l 2 ) 0.5 (d hkl is the interplanar distance) and the value is 0.3970 nm. Further, the unit cell volume was calculated using V = a 3 , and the value is noticed as 0.0626 nm 3 .…”

“…[2] It was noticed from the literature that the parent compounds showed different properties as a function of various factors such as temperature, particle size, synthesis method, sintering/calcination process, etc. [3] Besides, the recent reports evidenced that the pH is also a factor for variation DOI: 10.1002/crat.202300022 of different properties. Rama Prasad et al, [4] prepared the copper ferrite nanoparticles at different pH values starting from 9 to 12.…”
