“…Efficacy and limitations of OCT diagnosis of skin disease has previously been established in studies of skin appendages, such as hairs and nails . However, various OCT systems with different axial and lateral resolution, different power on the skin and different imaging post‐processing software have been applied in these studies.…”

“…The diagnostic accuracy of OCT in Dermatology has been demonstrated as moderate to high . Several skin diseases have been studied clinically with OCT including disorders involving adnexal structures: sweating , dyshidrotic skin conditions , follicular keratosis , abnormal hair growth , hair transplantation and acne . Identification and measurement of hair follicle calibers, size/condition of hair follicles and sweat gland structures can be useful in monitoring these diseases.…”

“…Without a history of external irritation, FKC is often resistant to treatments such as topical corticosteroids, keratolytic agents, and tretinoin, 0.05%. 1,6 Treatment of FKC with vitamin D analogues has been reported by Yanagihara et al, 1 who treated lesions twice daily for at least 3 months and reported clearing of the lesions; however, the lesions reappeared after discontinuation of treatment. In the present cases, topical tacalcitol was applied only once daily followed by rapid resolution of FKC in both patients.…”

“…≥90% [PASI 90-<100] or 100% [PASI100] improvement), are not well understood. [4][5][6][7] The purpose of this analysis of data from a phase 2 clinical trial was to determine if incrementally higher levels of clinical responses to ixekizumab (anti-interleukin 17A monoclonal antibody) were associated with greater improvements in the Dermatology Quality of Life Index (DLQI) and pruritus symptom severity on an Itch Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Analyses were performed on available data from a pooled cohort of 142 patients randomized to subcutaneous injection of ixekizumab (10, 25, 75 or 150 mg) or placebo at Weeks 0, 2, 4, 8, 12 and 16 of study I1F-MC-RHAJ (NCT01107457).…”
