Abstract:Optical transmission beyond the dispersion limit of optical fibers is very important in future optical communications systems. Optical resonators play a major part in several optical equalisation schemes that are required to compensate for the dispersion effects. This paper presents the employment of a double-coupler double-ring optical resonator for equalising optical pulses transmitted through the dispersive medium. A signal flow analysis is briefly given for stating the optical transfer function of the reso… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
