Optical Filter Wavefront Distortion: Out-of-band to In-band Predictions and the Effect of the Illumination Source Bandwidth

Abstract: Measurement of wavefront distortion (WD) of optical filters is very sensitive to the filter wavelength and the bandwidth of the illumination source. We demonstrate WD measurements and analysis methods when a wavefront sensor system is not capable of measuring the filter at its operating wavelength or angle of incidence.
