“…Moreover, the as-synthesized Eu 3+ -doped yttrium compounds are selected as examples to investigate their quantum efficiencies. The photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY) for the Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ , YBO 3 :Eu 3+ , and YVO 4 :Eu 3+ samples are determined to be 32.7, 48.7, and 57.1%, which are comparable to those of the as-reported Eu 3+ -doped yttrium compounds. The result indicates that the as-obtained yttrium compounds with hollow structures are suitable for application as luminescent matrixes for lanthanide activator ions. The UC luminescence mechanism associated with Er 3+ and Ho 3+ ions involves a two-photon process (Figure k,l), which is similar to that of the as-synthesized Y 2 O 3 - and YBO 3 -based UC phosphors.…”

“…The synthesis of PE/TiO 2 composites was performed by in situ ethylene polymerization according to a previously published technique [14,15]. In the first step, the catalytic system TMC(P25) was prepared on the surface of a TiO 2 photocatalyst by sequential deposition of an organomagnesium compound, MgBu 2 , and TiCl 4 , onto TiO 2 (P25).…”

“…Previously, we showed that PE/nano-Al 2 O 3 and PE/Y 2 O 3 (Eu) composites can be obtained by using in situ ethylene polymerization [14,15]. To this end, a titanium-magnesium catalyst for ethylene polymerization was formed by the sequential deposition of a magnesium-aluminum complex (MAC) and TiCl 4 on a nano-Y 2 O 3 (Eu) surface.…”

“…In the absence of lighting has obvious indication effect and beautification effect, which indicates a very high commercial value. 6 Y 2 O 3 has been widely studied in rare-earth-doped luminescent materials, which is itself an advanced ceramic material. Owing to its excellent physical and chemical stabilities, Y 2 O 3 is often used as a matrix material for rareearth-doped luminescent materials.…”
