“…Fiber bragg grating PD sensor is the double fiber bragg grating arranged in a fiber, it has the same center wavelength and narrow, its reflectance is high, the double fiber bragg grating is pasted on the ceramic substrate and both of them are encapsulated in a plastic case, that form a high finesse of optical cavity ,this cavity will detect the ultrasonic of power transformer. In the process of detection, due to the ceramic substrate in a wide frequency range, high frequency of ultrasound pressure waves generated from the power transformer discharge can be perceived , which change the optical properties of the fiber grating resonant cavity, such as the center wavelength and the intensity of light signal [4]. The intensity of light signal and the amount of partial discharge is direct proportional, through reading the intensity of light signal output by the fiber grating sensor and arrival time of each wave to sensors, we can estimate the size of discharge and the specific location of power supply within the power transformer.…”
