Lithium Manganese Barium Borate glass (LMBB) was prepared using a conventional melt quenching technique. Optical absorption of the prepared glass sample was investigated over a wavelength range of 200 to 1200 nm, with two absorption peaks were found at 228 nm and 476 nm corresponding to the UV and visible region, respectively. A hardness indentation test was performed on the prepared glass to see how the Mn 3? , Li 2? and Ba 2? ions in the borate framework influence mechanical behaviour. The dielectric permittivity, dielectric loss and a.c. electrical conductivity of the glass sample were examined in the frequency range from 1 Hz to 1 MHz at 30 °C. With subsequent additions of Mn 2 O 3 , the dielectric constant observed to improve. The hysteresis loop was used to determine the retentivity and coercivity of magnetic behaviour using VSM analysis, and the result confirmed that the prepared glass has paramagnetic characteristics. The elemental analysis revealed a majority of barium, manganese and oxygen in the glass, with negligible percentage of carbon. The surface morphology of the glass was examined using a scanning electron microscope, which confirmed the amorphous nature of the specimen. The scanning electron microscopic analysis was utilized to inspect the surface morphology of the LMBB borate glass. The electrochemical property of the glass was investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The specific capacitance of the glass was found to decrease from 85 to 58 Fg -1 as the current density increased with the scanning rate of 2 mV s -1 .
