“…The degradation of the sensitivity upon cycling can be virtually eliminated by choosing the writing polarization E I c, the erasure polarization E -c, and by using higher powers. The fatigued sensitivity at 7.5 watts/cm 2 for this combination of polarizations was 8.2 ± 0.3 %/joule/cm2 the initial sensitivity was 10 ± 1 %/joule/cm 2 The sensitivity was found to be dependent only upon the writing and erasure conditions for the previous three or four cycles. Optical treatment prior to the last few cycles had no effect on the sensitivity.…”
