Abstract:Bamboo, a natural functionally graded material (FGM), exhibits self-adaptive properties that are potentially responsible for its distinct vascular bundle distribution. This study explores the optimal spatial distribution of vascular bundles to maximize flexural rigidity during transverse bending.
