Abstract:Multi-parameter estimation is necessary for force sensing due to simultaneous and nontrivial small changes of position and momentum. Designing quantum probes that allow simultaneous estimation of all parameters is therefore an important task. The optimal methods for estimation of the conjugate changes of position and momentum of quantum harmonic oscillator employ probes in entangled or quantum non-Gaussian states. We show that the same results can be obtained in a significantly more feasible fashion by employi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
