Abstract:The study of noise generated by a system homodyne detection of laser radiation was made when random noise is recorded at the outputs of anoptical beam splitter after differential detection of signals. We studied the dependence of noise parameters on the length of the signal sequence sample and the effect of detrending using wavelet analysis. The NIST test suite was used to evaluate the degree of randomness of the generated noise sequence.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
