Coupling renewable energy, electric vehicle and hydrogen storage is an effective way for integrated energy systems (IES) to move toward a low-carbon approach. The uncertainties of wind power, PV power and load demand are considered, meanwhile, a ladder-type carbon trading mechanism is designed, and the model is transformed into a deterministic Mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), while the reliability of spinning reserve power is measured by a proper confidence level. Meanwhile, the objective function is constructed based on the optimization strategy of deviation preference, and two objectives are introduced to optimize the annual comprehensive cost and annual carbon emission. The problem is transformed into a MILP and the optimization of the capacity configuration of this IES is performed. The results show that the IES has advantages in economic and environmental performance. The IES has significant advantages in carbon dioxide emission reduction (CDER); meanwhile, EVs show advantages in CDER and charging cost compared to those in the non-IES. Carbon dioxide emissions in IES are only one-fifth of those of conventional distribution system and the CDER effect is noticeable. Moreover, EV charging cost in the IES is relatively lower, while the CDER effect is an order of magnitude better than that of non-IES.

Distribution Static Synchronous Compensator (D-STATCOM) is a shunt compensator in the distribution systems that one of the most important tasks is to improve the imbalance, reduce and eliminate the nonlinear loads harmonics. Distributed generation resources such as photovoltaic (PV) array can be used as the DC input of D-STATCOM. In this paper, PV array and DC/DC boost convertor are used to stabilize the DC link voltage of D-STATCOM. The main advantage of theproposed method is that for all time provides continuous compensation. Another power quality issues are neutral current in four-wire systems that are created due to the harmonics and system imbalance.Zig-Zag transformer is one of the ways for compensating neutral current and providing isolation between the convertor and flow of the fundamental zero sequence component which contains harmonic neutral current. Role and performance of the distribution shunt compensator in the improvement of power quality indices depends on the performance of its control system. In this paper, the control scheme of synchronous reference frame theory based on fuzzy controller is used for D-STATCOM based on PV and Zig-Zag transformer. Performance and behaviour of the proposed system examined using Matlab/Simulink software and the results will be presented.

Estimation of solar energy generation in the integrated power systems must be performed for power system the long-term planning and the short-term control. Irradiation is one of the main factors affecting the out coming energy of solar system. Hence, investigation of solar irradiation on the horizontal surface helps in proper and efficient implementation of solar energy system. Capturing much more energy from the irradiation, by the Photovoltaic (PV) cells, results in enhancement of out coming energy of PV station. This paper is going to study the impact of implementation two topologies for energy harvesting in PV stations. The topologies are as follows: (a) PV station with multilevel boost converters and inverters, (b) PV station with only multilevel inverters. Studies have been performed on 80 KW PV test station, located in Kabudrahang, Iran. The comparison between the results demonstrates much more solar energy harvesting in the case of applying multilevel converters in the output of PV arrays. Simulation results show the promising result of the proposed topology in harvesting maximum power from a PV station.
