Abstract:All-optical ultrasound is emerging as an imaging modality well-suited to use in minimally invasive surgical procedures. With this paradigm, ultrasound is both generated and received using light. Recent studies have demonstrated intraluminal ultrasound imaging using a fibre optic device.
