Optimised Pumping Design for 100% Pack Efficiency in Open-Hole Gravel Packs: A Field Study from Offshore Republic of Congo

Abstract: Achieving complete and efficient gravel packing is the primary objective when tasked to install an effective sand control completion. This paper describes the challenges faced during the selection, design, planning and execution phases of the open-hole horizontal gravel pack completions in the "L" field, offshore Republic of Congo.
