Optimization of Convective Heat Transfer from Two Heating Generators into Horizontal Enclosure Including A Discrete Obstacle: A Lattice Boltzmann Comprehensive Investigation

Abstract: This paper is intended to address the effect of a discrete obstacle on the behavior of flow and heat transfer of laminar natural convection in horizontal enclosure heated from below and symmetrical cooled from sides. Horizontal walls of the enclosure are considered adiabatic except the obstacle. Heating generators of a rectangular form and localized symmetrically are heated at a same uniform temperature. The cold obstacle is placed between active generators that create two thermal plumes. The double population… Show more

“…The magnetohydrodynamics natural convection in closed cavities has been considered in various studies, namely in the case of two, 25,26 three, 27 and four heating blocks 28 . Other than the square shape of the heating blocks, several works have considered different geometrical shapes, such as rectangular, 5,11,29–31 triangular, 32 circular, 33–35 elliptical, 36 and hexagonal 37 …”

“…The magnetohydrodynamics natural convection in closed cavities has been considered in various studies, namely in the case of two, 25,26 three, 27 and four heating blocks. 28 Other than the square shape of the heating blocks, several works have considered different geometrical shapes, such as rectangular, 5,11,[29][30][31] triangular, 32 circular, [33][34][35] elliptical, 36 and hexagonal. 37 The model of the heat-generating blocks confined inside the enclosures, subjected to different conditions, allows us to better represent the electronic devices.…”
