Optimization of Stope Structural Parameters Based on Mathews Stability Graph Probability Model

Abstract: Strip mining with subsequent filling is one of the main mining methods for gently inclined thin ore bodies. The production process of excavating alternate strips is beneficial to the safety of mining. Reasonable stope structural parameters are key to achieving safe and efficient mining. The Tiaoshuihe phosphate mine of Sanning Mining is taken as an example in this study. Based on precision finite element modeling and simulation, a reasonable width range and the interval value of the strip are determined. A rel… Show more

“…In view of the construction of mines and tunnels under different geological conditions, many scholars have carried out a lot of research on the blasting of the trench and discussed the influence of cutting mode, cutting parameters, cutting diameter, and charging mode on blasting effect [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Shan et al [7] proposed that the main cut and the working face have an angle, while the auxiliary cut was perpendicular to the free face.…”

“…Considering only the stability coefficient, for the Halazi Iron Mine 2nd Deposit, the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) is 47, and the structural parameter value Q ′ is assumed to be 1.40. The parameters for coefficients A, B, and C can be referenced from the literature [ 25 ], which will not be specifically mentioned here. Based on calculations, the value of coefficient A for the Halazi Iron Mine 2nd Deposit is 0.85, the value of coefficient B is 0.3, and the value of coefficient C can be taken as 1.00.…”

“…e fractures in the 870-898 m level of the eastern mining area are relatively developed, and the mining sequence is related to the overall stability and mining safety of the area [9]. According to geological occurrence conditions, a three-dimensional ore body model was established, and 25 numbered mining areas were identified.…”

“…e Tiaoshuihe phosphate mine is a gently inclined thin ore body with an average thickness of 3.22 m. is mine contains a mining area of approximately 23.42 km 2 and an estimated reserve of 200 million t [9,10]. To realize production, it is necessary to plan intensive mining, adjust the mining areas of simultaneous production in one location, and then maximize the utilization rate of personnel and equipment [11].…”
