Optimizing a bi-objective multi-period fish closed-loop supply chain network design by three multi-objective meta-heuristic algorithms

Abstract: Attention to a food supply chain has increased recently due to population growth and increased demand for food.Aquaculture development is advantageous as fish is a crucial constituent of the food basket of households. This study first presents a new bi-objective and multi-period mathematical model of a fish closed-loop supply chain (CLSC). The model is addressed by utilizing the multi-objective Keshtel algorithm (MOKA), NSGA-II, and MOSA. The Taguchi method is employed to tune these meta-heuristics to attain s… Show more

“…The efficacy of the offered model is demonstrated by analyzing a case study from Puebla, Mexico. CLSCNDs have been developed by a number of researchers for a variety of industries, including the seafood industry [ [30] , [31] , [32] ], palm date products [ 33 ], and manufacturing industry [ 34 ].…”

“…35,36 Supply chain management is concerned with the flow of products, capital, and information from source to destination, and designing a network of a supply chain in the context of operational research involves location, allocation, size-determination, and flow of facilities. 37 In recent times, designing a network of the supply chain has been prevalent in various sectors. 38 Chouhan et al 39 presented a location-allocation framework for designing a network of sugarcane supply chain in the agricultural sector considering carbon emission while the network of sugarcane supply chain given by Chouhan et al 40 was focussed on handling the by-products.…”

“…A closed-loop fish supply chain network was investigated by Fasihi et al ( 2021a ). In this regard, the computational complexity of the fish closed-loop supply chain was addressed in Fasihi et al ( 2021b ) research. They used three efficient metaheuristics, MOKA, NSGA-II, and MOSA, as the solution approaches.…”
