Optimizing a Multi-Channel ANC System for Broadband Noise Cancellation in a Telephone Kiosk Using Genetic Algorithms

Abstract: Abstract. The problem of optimizing an active noise control system for the implementation of a multi-channel ANC system with the aim of global reduction of broadband noise in a telephone kiosk is addressed in this paper. This optimization involves finding best locations for loudspeakers and microphones, and optimizing control signals. The problem of finding a proper size for control system, i.e. the number of loudspeakers and microphones involved in the control system is also investigated. The mean of acoustic… Show more

“…The parameters of the quantum cross, variation, and rotation gate can be determined by experiences on the premise of fast searching optimization. The initialization parameters range of DFNN can be obtained with multiple algorithm running tests [22][23][24][25]. In this paper, parameters of the QGA are selected as follows [26,27]: population scale is 40, the number of the iterations is 100, the initialization parameters interval of DFNN is [0, 3], cross probability is 0.3 while variation probability is 0.1, maximum rotating angle max is 0.15 and minimum rotating angle min is 0.01 , and expansion coefficient is 2.…”

By combining the result obtained from the expression in (38) with equation 37, it is possible to derive a closed form for the acoustic pressure in modal space as a function of the control input voltages applied to the secondary sources as follows:…”

“…Due to advantages of vibration signal analysis, in this paper, using vibration signals, we propose a strategy for detecting and classifying such rectifier bridge faults in brushless synchronous generator with the enhanced classification accuracy utilizing the wavelet transform and a modified sequential forward subset selection approach applied to the time-domain (statistical) features. Here the search is done over all parameters, nevertheless in case of a large number of parameters evolutionary algorithm can be used at this stage [21,22]. In this approach, both subset selection and MSVM parameter tuning are performed simultaneously which improves the classification performance.…”
