“…Emotion regulation therapy (ERT), an affect science-based intervention that utilizes emotion regulation skills to reduce negative selfreferential processes for individuals with GAD, presents an opportunity to explore this possibility (Renna et al, 2017). ERT shares many features of traditional and contemporary CBTs, including an emphasis on skill-building, to facilitate therapeutic change (Clayton et al, 2021).
