Artificial intelligence has become a game changer for the e-commerce sector and redefining the experience of online shopping. But the more AI is used, the bigger every data privacy and security concern grows. This chapter discusses the several analyses and methods available in AI focused on e-commerce and their impact on data privacy. Also, the current landscape of AI technology is reviewed, focusing on privacy issues of said technology with an overview of the fairly contingent dynamics for which e-commerce can use this evolving tech ethically. The chapter also proposes some solutions and guidelines for securing consumer data and privacy in the AI-based e-commerce era.
