Abstract:Simulations of statistical models have been used to validate theories of past events in evolution of species. Studies concerning human evolution are important for understanding about our history and biodiversity. However, these approaches use complex statistical models, leading to high computational cost. The present paper proposes optimization techniques for Hyper-threaded multicore architectures to improve the computational performance of these simulations. Combining granularity studies and Hyper-threading o… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
