Abstract:In this paper, a practical design method is presented to optimize the hard-switching dual si n algorithm (HS-DSA), formed by the sign algorithm ( S i ) with a time switch for the step size, for the fastest convergence in adaptive echo cancellation. For the optimized HS-DSA, the two step sizes and the switching instant are optimally chosen to yield the most rapid convergence under an initial and desired mean-square error. As compared to previously known variants of the SA, the optimized HS-DSA gains improvement… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
