Oral Cholecysto-Cholangiography with Iopodate and Metoclopramide

Abstract: SUMMARY A simple method of oral cholecysto‐cholangiography is described, the features of which are: Fractionated administration of 4.5 gms of Sodium Iopodate at 12 hours and 6 gms of Calcium Iopodate 1 hour prior to examination. Pharmacologic assistance (10 mg Metoclopramide orally taken at the same time as Solu‐Biloptin) to promote gastric emptying and facilitate intestinal absorption of contrast. Liberal use of tomography.
