“…We have reviewed 15 published cases of prostate metastasis to the GWS and added 6 of our own cases. 57–68 Two cases, including 1 of our own, had bilateral GWS metastases (Figure 7). 62 Of these 21 cases, 18 (85.7%) showed an osteoblastic (or hyperostotic) response, 2/21 (9.5%) showed a purely osteolytic response, and 3/21 (14.3%) showed a mixture of osteoblastic and osteolytic change.…”

“…The list of our own and published lesions appears in Table 2. 2–99 Published cases of 4 of the listed diagnoses were not reviewed because there is a significant literature on these already (sickle cell crisis with sphenoid infarction, tuberculosis of orbital bone, sphenoid bone dysplasia in NF1, and fibrous dysplasia of bone). During the same period as these new cases were collected from our practices, 97 cases (21 males) of spheno-orbital meningioma were encountered by us.…”

“…Prostate cancer (Pca) is a complicated disease that should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any disease in a man over 50 year old, regardless of his initial presentation. Pastore et al (1) recently published a case of Pca presented with ocular symptoms turned to be orbital metastasis. Mittal et al (2) described a patient that had bilateral orchiectomy for hormonal control of metastatic Pca where histology demonstrated metastatic Pca of the testis and epididymis.…”
