Organic, organomineral, and mineral fertilizers with urease and nitrification inhibitors for wheat and corn under no-tillage

Abstract: -The objective of this work was to evaluate soil chemical attributes, leaf nitrogen content, and corn and wheat yields under a no-tillage system in response to the application of organic, organomineral, and mineral fertilizers with or without urease and nitrification inhibitors. The experiment was carried out on the field, with one wheat and two corn crops, on a Rhodic Kandiudox, in a randomized complete block design with six replicates. The evaluated treatments were: control, without fertilization; O, poultry… Show more

“…Studies into organomineral fertilizers in solid form have shown their greater benefits to the chemical properties of the soil, and even increased crop yield, compared to mineral-derived fertilizers (Babalola et al, 2007;Correa et al, 2016). For organomineral fertilizers in fluid form, however, research has been scarce.…”

“…Release of N from the organomineral fertilizer is more gradual than in the other sources. Therefore, gradual release of N from this fertilizer may have provided lower synthesis of amino acids and sugars in the apoplast, and this may explain the lower incidence of CLM in our study (CARDOSO;LUZ;LANA, 2015;CORRÊA et al, 2016).…”

“…No tratamento convencional, a rápida solubilização das fontes minerais de N pode ter acarretado menores valores de NH 4 + nesse sistema. Fertilizantes minerais fornecem N mais rapidamente ao solo devido ao aumento da solubilidade físicoquímica dos seus grânulos (CORREA et al, 2016).…”
