Organisms cultured and resistance patterns seen in a secondary referral centre ICU and burns unit

Abstract: Background. Infections are common in intensive care units (ICUs) and burns units. Empiric antibiotic therapy is often required, and as such it is important to have a good knowledge of the resident organisms in these departments.
