Abstract:The organocatalytic activity of choline-based ionic liquids in the hydroboration of ketones, aldehydes and carboxylic acids with pinacolborane was investigated. The method employed was based on a simple, inexpensive, biobased, reusable and environmentally friendly [Cho][OAc] catalyst.
