Orientation toward sustainable water supply

Abstract

Orientation toward sustainable water supply The current global lack of sustainability in water supply, as caused by excessive use of drinking water reserves, and water quality deterioration due to various intensive uses of water, is presented in the paper. An overview of present-day research and advancements that contribute to gradual and durable orientation toward sustainable water supply is given. The recycling and reuse of water in order to enable an efficient increase in available quantities of water is analyzed. Latest discoveries in the field of nanotechnology, as related to water treatment with minimum environmental impact, are presented.
