Two major regional (transcurrent) fault systems (Anka-Yauri-Iseyin-AYI and Kalangai-Zungeru-Ifewara-KZI fault systems) trending NE-SW occur in Nigeria and these had probably developed during the late Pan-African orogeny [31].
