Orman Biyokütlesinin Atmosfere Katkısı

Abstract: Küresel ısınmanın en önemli nedenlerinden biri atmosferde biriken karbondioksittir. Atmosferdeki karbondioksitin azaltılmasında ormanlar önemli karasal ekosistemlerdir. Ormanlar fotosentez yoluyla organik madde üretimi yaparak biokütlesini arttırırken, aynı zamanda oksijen üretimi gerçekleştirmektedir. Bu çalışmada biokütle modelleri kullanılarak çeşitli ağaç türleri için biokütle miktarları, bünyelerinde depoladıkları karbon miktarları ve ürettikleri oksijen miktarları belirlenmiştir.
