Abstract: Aromatic L-Amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) deficiency is a rare neurometabolic disorder due to a homozygous or compound heterozygous pathogenic variant of the DDC gene, resulting in low synthesis of the biogenic amines dopamine, serotonin, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.
