Oscillating universe in Hořava-Lifshitz gravity

Abstract: We study the dynamics of isotropic and homogeneous universes in the generalized Hořava-Lifshitz gravity, and classify all possible evolutions of vacuum spacetime. In the case without the detailed balance condition, we find a variety of phase structures of vacuum spacetimes depending on the coupling constants as well as the spatial curvature K and a cosmological constant Ã. A bounce universe solution is obtained for à > 0, K ¼ AE1 or à ¼ 0, K ¼ À1, while an oscillation spacetime is found for à ! 0, K ¼ 1, or à … Show more

“…This kind of matter violates the conditions of the singularity theorems, making its results inapplicable to the nowadays observed universe. Since then, models without cosmological singularity returned to the scene as possible candidates for the description of the universe like for example models of oscillating universe [6][7][8][9].…”

“…We can argue we have an evolutionary advantage if our "sixth sense" feels in others metabolic resonations, such as emotional indifference or readiness to commit violence against us. Anecdotal accounts of feeling of the bad vibe when we enter a room, [220] may be explained by us detecting the emotional resonation of someone with emotional patterns containing violent or aggressive sentiments.…”
