Abstract:Oscillations in modified combinants (C j s) have been of interest to multiparticle production mechanisms since the 1990s [1]. Recently, there has been a discussion on how these oscillations can be reproduced by compounding a binomial distribution with a negative binomial distribution [2, 3]. In this work, we explore a stochastic branching model based on a simple interaction term λψφψ for partons and propose a hadronization scheme to arrive at the final multiplicity distribution. We study the effects that compou… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
