Abstract:Objective: The purpose of the current research was to design a nicorandil formulation with controlled drug release using the principles of osmotic pump technology. Nicorandil is a biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) class 3 drug, having a shorter plasma elimination half-life and bioavailability of 75 to 80%.
