“…Hence, osteopathic interventions may theoretically reduce interoceptive processing dysfunction, autonomic activity, and allostatic load by increasing the precision of actual interoceptive information (likelihood), generating prediction errors that update the belief (prior), thus decreasing the mismatch between expected and actual interoceptive states.
