“…This response prompted the speculation that L. striatellus that had migrated from China might affect the prevalence of RSV disease in Kyushu district. In 1985, outbreaks of RSV disease occurred in Kyushu district, particularly in the western coastal region, and it was suggested that overseas immigration of L. striatellus into Kyushu was responsible (Fukamachi et al 1986;Kimura et al 1986;Sogawa 1992). Trap catches of L. striatellus were recorded at Isahaya and Minamisatsuma on June 5, 2008 and, subsequently, outbreaks of RSV disease occurred in parts of Kyushu district (Otuka et al 2010).…”
