Abstract: Background The Tanzanian healthcare system has long grappled with extended waiting times in outpatient departments (OPD). Studies at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) revealed an average wait of six hours, marking KCMC with the longest waiting time among Tanzanian referral hospitals.
