Outcome of Intra-Articular Fractures of the Distal End of the Radius Managed Using Volar Variable Angle Locking Plate

Abstract: Background: Distal radius fractures are one of the most common fractures of human skeleton. Despite advances in management of these fractures a consensus regarding the best treatment protocol is still lacking.Methods: This prospective study involved 20 patients (13 males; 7 females) who presented with fractures of distal end radius. There were three B3 (29%), six C1 (35.5%) & eleven C2 (9.7%) fractures according to AO classification system.
