“…Both of these reports describe orbital lymphangiomas associated with abnormal iris vessels and anomalous retinal vascular branching patterns, 1,2 although, as Vavvas and coworkers point out, it is debatable whether these cases do in fact represent persistent fetal vasculature (PFV). 3 Our case would seem to be the first reported combination of orbital lymphangioma with "full-blown" PFV, although we do recognize that both lymphangiomas and PFV represent spectra of developmental abnormalities.
