“…We studied patients at particularly high risk for NCSE, namely, comatose survivors of cardiac arrest; comatose patients with no further clinical seizures after treatment for convulsive status epilepticus; and various conditions associated with coma such as stroke, prolonged hypoglycemia, bacterial meningitis, prolonged hypoxemia, and traumatic brain injury.
