Ovarian luteoma masses in pregnancy: an uncommon cause of virilisation

Abstract: Pregnancy luteoma is a benign ovarian tumour that presents during pregnancy and regresses spontaneously post partum. The mass may secrete androgenic hormones which can result in virilisation of mother and female foetus. Clinical presentation of pregnancy luteoma is varied from asymptomatic to significant virilisation. We present two cases of ovarian luteomas identified incidentally at caesarean section.
