Abstract: Ovarian teratomas are the ovary's most frequent germ cell tumors and can be either mature or immature. Ovarian teratomas can also have a monodermal form; struma ovarii is the most common type and are usually multilocular cystic lesions with variable locules. Another less common types of monodermal lesion are ovarian carcinoids.
