Abstract:Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) have important nutritional benefits in humans. EPA and DHA are mainly derived from fish, but the decline in the stocks of major marine capture fishes could result in these fatty acids being consumed less.
