Over Torsiyonuna Genel Bakış

Abstract: ÖZOver torsiyonu nadir görülen ancak ciddi sonuçlara yol açabilecek jinekolojik acillerden biridir. Over torsiyonu tanısı her zaman kolay olmamaktadır. Cerrahi öncesi over torsiyonu tanısında güvenilirliği ve duyarlılığ… Show more

“…The resulting venous and lymphatic blockage leads to edema in the ovarian tissue, followed by ischemia, which can progress to ovarian necrosis due to the significant reduction in arterial blood flow. [ 5 , 19 ] Ischemia is defined as cell death resulting from inadequate tissue perfusion, depletion of cellular energy reserves, and the accumulation of toxic metabolites. The restoration of blood flow is crucial for the survival of cells.…”

“…The resulting edema further reduces the decreased arterial blood flow, leading to ischemic changes that cause irreversible damage to the ovaries. Ovaries that become necrotic as a result of ischemia lose their functions, and failure to treat them negatively affects fertility 1,[8][9][10] . Detorsion performed to restore arterial blood flow causes ischemia-reperfusion injury and leads to other complications in the ovaries.…”
