Overhead Transmission Lines Fault Location Approach based on Current Traveling Waves Measurement

Abstract: This paper presents an innovative double-ended current traveling wave fault location scheme for overhead transmission lines. The scheme depends on magnetic flux density measured by tunnel magnetoresis-tive sensor array mounted at both ends of an overhead transmission line.
