“…CNTs are composed of six-membered carbon rings with a graphite-like structure and possess a three-dimensional spatial framework, which exhibits excellent electrical conductivity and is widely used in the electrocatalytic OER. Due to the low cost and abundant reserve, the composites of transition metals (such as Fe, Co, and Ni) and CNTs are expected to fuse the feature of CNTs electrical conductivity and transition metal activity in the electrocatalytic OER. Zhao et al prepared the N-doped CNTs encapsulated with bimetallic oxides (FeNiO@NCNT) for the electrocatalytic OER. The synergistic effect of bimetallic oxides and CNTs improved the electrical conductivity and electron transport, which led to a low overpotential of 205 mV at 20 mA/cm 2 in a 1 M KOH electrolyte solution.…”
