Oxidation mechanism of phenols by copper(ii)–halide complexes

Abstract

The oxidation of phenols by tetrahedral copper(ii)–halide complexes was investigated to explore the oxidation mechanism as well as the importance of the tetrahedral geometry of the metal centre and the effects of halide ligands of the substrates.
