Oxidation of hydrogels based of sodium alginate and MnO2 as catalyst

Abstract: In this study, first a hydrogel based on sodium alginate and acrylamide was prepared by radical polymerization method and then manganese oxide was formed in its lattice structure and nanocomposite hydrogels were obtained. In the next step, Nanocomposite hydrogels were used as catalysts for the oxidation of alcohols. To evaluate the physical properties and confirm the structure of nanocomposite hydrogels, Hydrogel swelling tests, FT-IR infrared conversion spectroscopy, TGA Thermal gravimetric, SEM Scanning elec… Show more

“…Soft molds refer to a set of surfactants or surfactants such as liquid crystals, micelles. Unlike hard molds, soft molds are of organic origin and contain ligands, surfactants, and polymers [128][129][130][131]. Using soft molds such as rod-shaped micelles, Ag and gold nanowires and nanowires with controllable diameters and dimensional ratios can be synthesized.…”

“…When these bubbles collapse onto the solid surface, the high pressure and temperature released produce microjets and shock waves directed to the solid surface. These microjets impact the surface, leading to its wear, breakage, and degradation 33 , 34 .…”

“…A nominate problems in the area of the heat exchangers and micro-annulus is to boost the heat transfer performance without scarifying the pressure drop disadvantage. So, nanofluids are an advantageous choice considering their exceptional feature [5][6][7] in comparison to a liquid with micro-size particles [8], which were applied in various industries and applications [9][10][11][12][13][14]. Abdulrazzaq et al [15] conducted an empirical research on a turbulent heat transfer by nanofluid flow interaction in a cylinder geometry with sharp changes in flow.…”
