Abstract:The nature of processes responsible for open‐circuit potentials in solutions containing C2 compounds is considered. The peculiarities of adsorption of C2 compounds on electrode surfaces are reviewed, and also the specific features of electrocatalytic oxidation of these reactants under nonsteady state and steady state modes. The principles of choice of electrode materials for effective electrooxidation of C2 molecules are formulated, and the prospects of practical applications of these reactions are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
